The original is still cool. But this mini version is around half the price as the original Amazon.co.jp Danboard. Usually when you miniaturize something in today's world it makes it more expensive, but not in this case. Probably because it's not packed full of electronics you are thinking. And you're right! But you're also wrong Bright Eyes. The eyes still light up with a simple switch and batteries, such a cool feature in a figure that fits in your hand.
So make your choice. The larger version or the mini version? And no you can't plant your mini Danboard in a flower pot and watch it grow...sorry, it's a toy Gardener Jim.

Clockwise from top left:Figure 1: Ever watched a NASCAR race start to finish? This guy has. He even wears a diaper so he doesn't have to get up and risk missing Jeff Gordon's photo finish. Figure 2: Two-timing. Two-toned. Two-faced. Figure 3: Avid proponent of the piano key neck tie and the tuxedo t-shirt (the skeleton). Figure 4: He's a bat, not a rat or a squirrel. He maintains a steady diet of gummy worms, and he's a little on the tubby side because of it.

'Hunka, hunka, burning Be@rbrick', haha! This is awesome! An Elvis Presley Bearbrick figure. 8 inches (20 cm) tall. That's big. So this is obviously the fat Elvis version in bear form.

This is the cutest and most lovable Clone Trooper/Storm Trooper I have ever seen. This stylized caricature style is cool. Its like the cartoon version, but taken to a whole new level. But don't get me wrong, this lovable Clone Trooper still looks like he will blast your shorts off if you aren't careful.
The figure is available here and is posable vinyl and stands a good 8 inches (20cm) tall. Think if you had an entire army of these Clone Troopers? That would be awesome. Two or three though is just as cool if you pose them and set them up in strategic positions around your office or bedroom to ambush anyone coming in. I think they combine the perfect blend of cool and cute. Chicks would dig your Clone Troopers. And guys would dig them too. I predict a battle brewing over any of these Clone Trooper figures that you buy.

I'll start off this cool toys blog with something from my all time favorite Japanese anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. The mysterious and beautiful Rei Ayanami super posable action figure. This new figure from Revoltech looks amazing. The details are perfect with Rei Ayanami in her pilot suit. The good thing about it is that its not a static figurine, but you can pose it anyway you'd like judging from the barely perceptible joints.
