This is made out of vinyl and has some articulation to pose it nicely with ball-joint blasters and missile launchers.
New Tron 2 Legacy Action Figures and Toys
19 Dec 2010You love the new Tron Legacy movie and you want more. But what can you possibly do besides seeing the movie over and over again?
The characters and costumes were so cool ideas are bouncing around in your head about new spin-off scenarios like no one's business. The movie was cool. But what if Flynn did something else instead? What if someone else won that Light Cycle race? What if if everything you just saw could be re-enacted totally different way? You have started to think your mind has been turned into a computer. And all you see are lights.
If you are totally obsessed with the new Tron movie or just love they way it looks and want something Tron to play with, then the Disney store has your hook up with everything Tron Legacy related.
They've released a variety of action figures in various sizes from 3" to 12" tall. The cool thing about the larger Tron figures are their light effects and animated projected faces with recorded quotes. Something you don't get on most action figures.
Light-Up Deluxe Sam Flynn Action Figure comes with an identity disc, katana, battle baton, staff and magnetic baton. He has ultimate face projection and says 6 different phrases.
There are also some Tron Legacy vehicles and remote control toys to have fun with as well.
So have fun and don't get yourself derezzed.

App Magnets – Make Believe iPhone Buttons for Everyone

18 Nov 2010As no one has bought me a real life iPhone yet, so I must wile away my time pretending I have one attached to my refrigerator with these App Magnets. My iPhone is as big as a fridge!
Everyone loves playing with magnets. After all, magnets are the most 'magical' toy of them all. These App Magnets make you want to push them. They are magnets and make-believe buttons! Pushing buttons is another all time favorite play activity. These App Magnets combine the best of both of these worlds.
You get 18 colorful magnets designed just like the standard Apple iPhone/iPod buttons.
Plus they force you to use your imagination. If you want to adjust the settings on your fridge, first you have to push the "System Preferences" app magnet. If you want to see if your homemade popsicle is frozen yet, you have to push the "Weather" button before opening the door. If you want to open the fridge and stare aimlessly at what you have in there then closing it again, you push the "Youtube TV" button.
But of course the advantage of these things are you can stick them anywhere they let you, besides the fridge. These App Magnets don't like every surface you try them on. I tried the cat. They didn't stick. I tried the wall. They didn't stick. I tried the lamp. Miraculously it stuck!
From what I can determine they prefer hard surfaces over other things. Usually made of some sort of metal. If I didn't know better, I think I've discovered something to write a scientific paper about. Multi Voice Changer

There is nothing more satisfying than changing your voice and confusing your grandma on the phone. So a bullhorn type voice changer to broadcast your voice across the house is 1,000 times better to freak out everyone. With it you can create hundreds of voice modifications with the slide levers to provide hours of exclamatory entertainment.
Talk deeper like Darth Vader, or like a robot, or even like your crazy Aunt Sally...anything is possible if you apply yourself. Afterall, the effort you put in it, is the same as what you get out of it.
Here is a sample of the craziness to be had:
What do you get when you mix air, whirling blades, and radio waves together? An ultra-cool remote controlled helicopter of course.

Maybe the major drawback to this is that you only get 8-12 minutes of flight time each charge. But it's probably a good thing. Too much of a good thing for too long is bad for you. Like too much candy or too much TV. The recharging time allows you to go outside and play or do your chores or take a shower for the first time in a week.
I imagine the main use for this for is to attach a rope/hook on the helicopter, then transport your action figures across the lava carpet from Fort Couch to Outpost Armchair. Just in time for the enemy attack. Then the helicopter can recharge at the base, while the battle takes place. Then it can come back and transport casualties.
Wait, if you had 2 of them, you could rotate between them and keep one in the air the whole time. Your sister's Strawberry Shortcakes

Imagine if you will. An inflatable cylinder with open ends. Inside this cylinder you insert a child. Seems harmless, yes? WRONG! You've just created an unstoppable force of havoc the world hasn't seen since the weeds in Harvey Dunkle's overgrown giant vegetable patch.
Sister over there! Roll over them! Brother over there! Roll over them! Your brother's carefully built Lego set, crush it! The cat! Oh no! The cat! Wake up Miss Sassy Cat before it's too late!
The kid inside will be having fun. If you have nothing valuable, this is the coolest toy you can buy. If you value your valuables...then this is still the coolest toy you can buy, but it allows you to buy more valuables to replace the ones you've lost. It's a shopper's dream toy!
Such great fun had by everyone, except poor Miss Sassy Cat.

Doctor Who Sonic Screwdrivers
6 Oct 2010If you are a tool fanatic like me, then you'll need every tool imaginably to do the job right. When the job comes up, that is. And when that job is protecting the world from danger, you'll need a Sonic Screwdriver. These things can open doors, make wiring work, short circuit wiring -- well mainly do absolutely nothing. But it will look cool while emitting a light and making a high-pitched annoying sound while doing it.
11th Doctor
The new 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver is available with extending action and glowing green light. Wielded by the actor Matt Smith in the series.
10th Doctor
The 10th Doctor's sonic screwdriver extends also, but more importantly doubles as a pen. It comes with regular ink and UV ink, for writing secret prescriptions. As wielded by David Tennant in the series.
I honestly have a hard time choosing between them. I guess it boils down to which version of the Doctor you like better. Or who you think is the sharpest dresser. Or if you like green or blue better. Or you could just get both and not have to decide.
Or go "oldschool" and get the Doctor Who Third Doctor Sonic Screwdriver
I swear I saw other versions, but I can't find them anymore. Probably only on eBay now.

Doctor Who 11 Doctors 5" Action Figure Collector Set
I stumbled across this amazing pack of all 11 different Doctor Who action figures. Having all the different looks of this Time Lord all in one place must create some sort of time-continuum-vortex-explosion, but it's worth the risk I think.
You get all 11 of the 'major' manifestations of the good Doctor
Now if I can find a pack of his lovely Earthly companions, then we have a party.
