    Maybe the major drawback to this is that you only get 8-12 minutes of flight time each charge. But it's probably a good thing. Too much of a good thing for too long is bad for you. Like too much candy or too much TV. The recharging time allows you to go outside and play or do your chores or take a shower for the first time in a week.

    I imagine the main use for this for is to attach a rope/hook on the helicopter, then transport your action figures across the lava carpet from Fort Couch to Outpost Armchair. Just in time for the enemy attack. Then the helicopter can recharge at the base, while the battle takes place. Then it can come back and transport casualties.

    ...the big thing in the middle is the camera, surrounded by some high powered infra-red LEDs. Those can be switched on or off. This lets you switch between "stealth" (no glow, lower visibility) mode and "observation" (slight glow, higher visibility) mode.
